Please note that this event has now finished.

For 2016, the St Agnes Green Doors open days will be on the 17th and 18th September.  We guarantee an interesting weekend.

Five properties in St Agnes parish will be open to show you what and how you can make your home more environmentally friendly, particularly more energy efficient. Find out how much it will cost and what savings you can make.

You can see a building made of cob, another of rammed earth, another of traditional stone, another of timber, and some modern eco-huts, too.

It's not just about the buildings.  Study the descriptions for each property - you can see a solar food drier, a home-made wind turbine, an electric car, a compost toilet, some raised beds, a rainwater storage system, some solar cookers, a battery backup system, and a tree house.

Please respect the opening times set by your hosts.
